Purchasing & Distributing MS Office XP

Hello,

If I were to purchase MS Office XP Professional. Am I
aloud to put it on more than one computer at home? or do
I have to purchase licenses? If so can someone explain
how licenses work? Also, if the computer that I have MS
Office XP Pro installed on crashes, will I still be able
to install MS Office XP Pro on it? Even though it was
previously activated?

The End User License Agreement (EULA) allows you to install Office XP on one
desktop and one laptop.

how licenses work?

Software licenses are essentially contracts in which you agree to the
software owner's (in the case of MS Office XP - Microsoft) terms and
conditions for use of the software. When you install Office, for example,
you have to agree to the EULA before Office will install.
Also, if the computer that I have MS
Office XP Pro installed on crashes, will I still be able
to install MS Office XP Pro on it? Even though it was
previously activated?

Should your computer with Office installed on it crash and you have to
re-install Office, there is an Activate by Telephone option. You explain
your situation and Microsoft gives you a key to complete the re-install.
