Put line across page

I am using Word 2003. Is there a shortcut I can click on that will
automatically put a line across the page?

I do not believe so. However, you can record a macro that inserts a
horizontal line, and then assign that macro to the keystroke of your choice.

I've done a couple of macros before but never to insert a horizontal line.
Any info on how I would do this?
