PWA Training for Resources / Team Members

My company has started getting a demand for "beginner" training on Project
2003, specifically for just "Resources or Team Member Only" training covering
the basics of the PWA interface, entering actuals against tasks, etc...

I have searched Microsoft's and other websites extensively and ,ironically,
there no such training to be found. All training I find basically focuses on
Project Manager's and up...

Are there any "quick and easy" online training tools, presentations, etc.
which cover these kind of topics???

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Hi,

Your problem is that there are almost no vanilla installations of Project
Web Access. Part of the implementation is to create all required views for
the organization, using existing views as templates. Consequently, every
course on PWA will need to be customized, sometimes heavily.

Project Experts at http://www.msprojectexperts.com have some very good books
on Project Server written as training/workbooks. This helps muchly, but
obviously doesn't touch all custom views.

Out of curiosity, why don't your project managers need training as well?
They probably need it more than the team members.

Thank you for the responses gentlemen... As the Project Administrator for my
company, I am looking for a viable, cost-efficient solution to our training
needs.

Actually, the company already provides a very useful training program for
our Project Managers which is given by one of the our Microsoft Project
"Partners".

However, since we all now that most IT budgets now cover only the bare
essentials, we did not want to have to send ALL of our MSP users to this
expensive PM-focused training if there was was a better alternative.

I will discuss with upper mgmt the idea of either contracting out a more
"generalized" training for resources / team members only (OR) me developing
our own "in-house" solution based on our company-specific views, etc. Of
course, you kinda figure which option they are going to choose, don't you???

;-)

Thanks Again and Have a GREAT Day!!!
