We are using MSP 2002 and have a project that has been put 'on hold.' The
team members keep getting email saying that their tasks are overdue. We
don't want each team member to turn off notifications because that will
apply to all their projects.... most of which are not on hold. We also
don't want to lose the actual values already entered in this (rather
complex) project. We cannot just add a delay to every task because many
tasks are in-progress. Ideally, we could split every task at the date the
project was put on hold and then delay the remainder of the task for some
number of days. Sadly, I cannot find any way to do that.
Here's the question: What options are available to stop team members from
being emailed on one specific project?
One possibility that occurs to me is that we could save the project
off-line, delete the project from the server and then, when the project
starts work again, re-import the project. I am concerned about the possible
loss of actual values and Sharepoint data if I do this. The re-imported
project would have a different projectID... which would create some problems
for us also. Has anyone done this? How'd it work out?
Are there other options that I have not thought of?
Thanks in advance,
