Queries Using Switchboard

I have a small customer database that I have created a
switchboard for; the switchboard will successfully allow
users to add/edit customers. I have created another
table with just customer names that is part of a search;
I have 2 questions:
1 - How can I get that Customer Name database to be empty
every time a user goes in to search a list of names

2 - Can I run Queries from the switchboard.
