Re activate after a crash

My computer crashed and took everything including the hard drive. I built a
new one and loaded Office and went to activate and was told it was already
running on another computer. It was on the crashed computer. How do I
activate Office on my new computer, as I can't afford to go out and buy
another copy. This is Office XP Professional 2002. Thanks for any help.

Assuming your version of Office XP Pro wasn't an OEM version, and therefore
tied to the old computer, you can use the telephone activation option and
just explain to the person what's going on.
