Re-installation

My office has several different copies of Office XP
Professional and we wanted to install it on a new
computer. The old computer it is currently on will not
be used. Since we are unsure exactly which copy we
installed does it matter which install on the new one?
Or, do we need to buy a new copy?

Hi, Ivy,

As long as you are licensed for the computers that are using Office, you're
fine. Just uninstall it on the old computer and re-install it on the new
one.

When you are prompted for activation of the product, if Internet activation
fails because it's already been installed on a previous computer, just use
the telephone method of installation and explain the situation to the
operator.
