hello, i need help to catch the the first and last character in a field on a
dbrw. i know something about left and right functions but i can´t do it at
all

Left first
<%= Left(X,1) %>
Right last
<%= Right(X,1) %>
where X -is your FP DBRW field as in
FP_FieldVal(fp_rs,"databasefieldname")
