Read only columns/cells

Alejandro

Hi,

I have Word 2003 and I want to lock columns and/or cells in a table so that
the text in them is protected from being altered. Is it possible to do it
programmatically, or the only way is to do it thru the task pane/Protect
Document?

Thanks,

Alex

you can't do it that way either. You can protect a section of the document,
but you can't make a column into a section.

Insert an Excel Spreadsheet into the document rather than a Word table. You
can then use Excel's ability to protect individual cells.
