Can any one tell me how to get current opened document content into
streams either it might be saved or not saved?

Thanks in advance

Dear Malleswar,

Could you re-word your query in much more detail? It's not possible yet to
know what you want to do or the situation you are describing. Please also
mention the version of Word you are using on your Mac.

Cheers,

Hi Clive Huggan,

Thank you for your reply. Actually I want send the currently opened document
to the server in streams.

If user is opening MSWord/Excel/Powerpoint/ and creates a new file, and then
clicks on a button (which is provided by me) then I want to send that file
to my server. How to retrieve the that file into streams. some times he might
not have saved the currently opened file.

I am using VSTO wit h visual studio with C# and I am mainly targeting
Word/Excel/Powerpoint-2003.

Thanks in Advance

Hello again Malleswar,

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word.
Because the Mac operating system is so different from Windows, your
configuration is quite different from the ones we are using here. Although
there are several people here who are experts in both Mac and PC, and they
may come by soon, you're likely to get quicker results in a discussion group
for the PC. Start here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/FlyoutOverview.mspx, and
when posting mention the details you have just provided below.

Word automatically streams its files to disk. It is the only MS Office
application to do so.

I have never seen any documentation of the algorithm used. I don't think
there is an API for it, and I don't think you can control how Word does
this, or when.

What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there is a better way...

Cheers
