Recoloring Clip Art in Publisher versus Powerpoint

I'm trying to recolr a clip art picture in Publisher the same way that I am
doing it in Powerpoint. In Powerpoint, each color in the original set is
presented with an option to change it to your choice. In Publisher, when I
select Format Picture->Recolor, I get a totally different dialogue box with
the ability to change the entire picture with one color. I want to have the
same dialogue box and recolor method that exists in Powerpoint. Am I missing
something?

Thanks for the reply, but I'm still baffled. The particular image that I'm
working with is a WMF format. In Publisher, I don't see where I can Ungroup
the item. Furthermore, this same image, when imported into a PowerPoint
slide can be edited by Format Picture -> Picture -> Recolor. Each color in
the image can me manually changed to a new one (and restored at a later
time).

The ungroup command is in the Arrange menu. I don't use PowerPoint much, but the
ungroup command is the same in Publisher only found in a different menu. Once
you ungroup the image, you select each segment and recolor.

I found the ungroup command. Thanks. Unfortunately, this will be an almost
uselss way to recolor even a mildly complex clip art object. This breaks
every segment apart, even those of the same color forcing you to recolor
every tiny detail. If you do pull a clip art into PowperPoint and try to
recolor it, you'll see the simplicity that I'm talking about. Thanks for you
attention.

You can recolor the entire image, select it, pick a color.
Are you using the Beta?
The Beta treats clip art differently than PowerPoint 2003.
