Do you use Exchange server? If so, and it's configured for deleted item
retention, you can get the items back if they were deleted within that time
frame (however long retention is set for).
If you don't use Exchange server, or even if you do and you use PST files
for delivery (ick), you may be out of luck - but see
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/recover_deleted.htm for one possible
option.
Note that deleted items is *not* the place to store things you need....there
are always times when one will accidentally delete something that's still
needed, but as a matter of course, it is not a good storage location for
things one "might" need later.
