Recovering unsaved files

I was working on a new file and accidentally closed it without saving it.
Would that file have been temporarily saved somewhere that I can recover it?

Do you have Auto-Save turned on? If yes, look in the autorecovery folder to
see if a version of your document is there.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
