This may be a general Office-11 issue, but my ever-so-useful 'Size &
Position Window' just won't appear. The appropriate toolbar button
enters and leaves the 'down' state as expected, but the pane itself
never appears. I generally keep all the panes open and undocked and
living on various monitors, and their all happy, except Size &
Position, which I don't think I've seen since upgrading from Vision
2000 to Visio 2003.
I fear it's become lost and confused and is probably sitting at
desktop coordinate -10000,2000000 or something like that. I'm working
on a four-monitor system, and some MS controls get very confused when
they sit left of zero (e.g. on a monitor left of Primary), but I don't
think this is the case here.
I've tried disabling three screens, changing screen resolution, etc.
to try to coral it back into line, but no luck. Does anyone know
where in the registry the undocked pane positions are kept? I
couldn't find 'left', 'top', or anything obvious in the registry, and
searching Google and MS' website was fruitless. We put a command line
switch in our framework which moves all floating controls into the
primary display -- comes in handy now and then; does Office have
anything like this?
