Recurring Events

Have a user that continues to receive message to attend
meeting but the person sending does not show any entry on
the calendar to send such message. I turned off Recurrace
on the user's (receiver's) machine but not sure this will
fix the problem of getting the message since the user is
not the originator. Am I missing a step some where to
turn this off?
