Redirecting old webpages

H

Hilary

I used to use Microsoft Publisher and just switched to
FrontPage 2003. How do I redirect my old webpages to my
new webpages if I do not want to name my pages the same as
my old ones. I have very high rankings in search engines
and do not want to have someone click on an old page and
not get my new page.

My computer also crashed and I do not have any of my old
pages, I do not know if this matters or not. Thank you in
advance for your time.

<%
response.redirect http://www.yourdomain.com/newpage.htm
%>

you can use the relative path also

or just replace the web page

In your old pages add a redirect META tag
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="10; URL=http://www.yourdomain.com/thenewpage.htm">
Where the 10 will redirect in 10 seconds
Also good idea to add a manual link and text - this page has moved
