Redirecting Web Pages

H

Hilary

I used to use Microsoft Publisher and now use FrontPage
2003. How do I redirect my old pages to my new pages
without loosing ranking on search engines. I do not want
anyone to click on an old page and get a "page not found".
Thank in advance.

Hi Hilary,

If you have a small amount of pages then add a meta refresh to each page to
redirect to the new page. If you have programmig skills then create a
redirection database and use the 404 Error Handler page to run a script to
map the requested page to the new page from the database.
