redirection drop-down list

I am creating a website that will have different content based on the year.
i have created folders by year and when creating a drop-down selection, I
would like to go to the "index.htm" for that specific year. I have been able
to redirect to a URL, but so far, unsucessful going to a file.

What is the default page for your server?? In other words what is the file
name of the page that opens if I click www.yourweb.com ??

Simply make sure that you use the same file name in your year folders and
then link to the folder.
www.yourweb.com/2004 and the default page will open.

i keep getting cannot find
"'file:///c:/documents%20and%20settings/home/local%20settings/temporary%20internet%20files/fontpagetempdir/index.htm'.

i do have index.htm in both my subdirectories:

ie subfolder_name/2004/index.htm
subfolder_name/2005/index.htm

That is the temporary file on your local hard drive.

Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download a copy of
FP Cleaner.

Run the functions that clear the FrontPage Temporary files and the
Cache(*.web) files.

Then try it again.

the fp cleaner still did not work. I am using behaviors, then Jump Menu to
try and open the index.htm under the subfolder

c:\dir\subdir\2005/index.htm
c:\dir\subdir\2006/index.htm

Assuming c:\dir is the root folder for your web, you don't link to
c:\dir\subdir\2005/index.htm

You link to: subdir/2005

href="subdir/2005"

It's called a relative link ( also known as root relative link )
