Redline not working!

S

Shauna

We have a user who is unable to get redline/strike out to
work on her computer. I've changed all of the track
changes settings to be the same as is on my computer (and
it works on mine). I've even removed and reinstalled Word
to try to get her redline to show up.

As it is now, she opens all of her documents on my
computer to print them.

Any ideas of what could be wrong and how this can be
fixed would be appreciated.

I seem to be having a similar or the same problem. In Word 97 I was able to
select "Strikethrough" for deleted text. In Word 2002 I don't have the
option, making my edits hard to read. Shauna, what version of Word are you
using?

We are using Word 2002. It's weird because I can see the
strikethrough on my computer, but on the other PC, with
the same settings, it doesn't show up.

That's even weirder--I don't even have that setting! I have just joined a
Word support e-mail group. If I find out anything I'll post it back here,
then you can join the group if you want. Meanwhile, I know that some people
are posting their real e-mail addresses here using obvious encoding, for
example Terry AT vartan DOT net. I might do that myself.

I have the answer. Word 2002 and 2003 do not have that option, but there is
a way to get it to work anyway. Write me offlist at rojo DOT editor AT
verizon DOT net and I'll tell you how.
