Reduce space apportioned gantt chart on print out

I'd like to print out a Gantt Chart view so that the Gantt Chart takes up
less of the page and the task info columns take up more. Is it possible to
achieve a 50:50 split?

I'm happy to reduce the detail of the Gantt Chart info displayed.

You can't assign a 50/50 split. Project will print whatever info columns
fall to the left of the divider bar. For your paper size and printer, you'll
need to experiment (with the print preview option) to figure out how many
info columns you can fit into that space. For the Gantt Chart, you'll have
to zoom in and out until you get to the level of detail that will allow your
Gantt Chart to fit within that space.

Once you've figured out how many columns you need to fill 50% of your page,
go to File > Page Setup > View and configure the number of fields that will
always be printed so it will default to that setting for that project.

If you experiment a bit, it shouldn't be too hard to come up with a standard.
