Is there any way of speeding up the send and receive email when connected to
a corporate network i.e. exchange server 5.5
I'm running outlook 2K on a XP pro machine connecting to an exchange server
5.5. The mailbox is configured correctly and I do receive mail but for some
reason I'm having to wait a couple of minutes to get it (tested with
internal mail) or if I hit the send and receive button a couple of times I
sometimes get it a bit quicker. Also if I randomly click on some of my
outlook folders this also seems to refresh the screen to show new messages.
I've re-installed outlook but no joy.
I don't want to apply any service packs because I've found from previous
experience that this can block a whole host of file attachments and flashes
up alert messages every time I call the outlook object library from code.
