Refresh Update functionality

I reverse engineered a sql 2000 database into Visio 2003 EA. Worked
great

Made all my changes and generated a script, took the script and ran it
thru
query analyzer against my database

I came back into VISIO and clicked refresh and even tried the Update.
It comes back and shows me all the changes that were made to the
database and
to the model .. no matter what I do it does not recognize that the
model and the
database are now in sync...

Is this by design? When I expand the changes for a table and hover over
the change
it even states that the change has been applied to the database and the
model.

What I was expecting is this to be clean and in sync. I have some
additional changes
I need to make and expected to be able to make the changes, run the
update again
and just get a ddl for the new changes I'm making. Instead I get a ddl
of all the changes again.

What am I doing wrong? If I say to apply the changes to the model, I
end up with duplicate tables in the model and get all kinds of errors
on the database.

My only option here is to keep creating a new viso model and reverse
engineer again every time I want to change things.. this doesn't seem
very efficient.

TIA
