Regarding Failure Error of Sending Emails

I am having problems sending emails, they bounce back all the time and they
never did before I had to reinstall my harddrive. I've checked my pop3 info
and smtp etc and everything looks right. It has never done this before.
What the heck is going on? Does anyone have any ideas?

Either from the Mail applet in control panel, Accounts then test
or within OL, Tools>Email Accounts>View or Change>Next>Change>Test Account

OHHHHHH, I've done that many times and also Pinged my IP and DNS and DHCP and
it said they were unreachable or not known, but when I do the account test
from OL, it says everything is fine! Blah! Thank you though, all help is
needed.!

Yes my dear and it said everything was ok, however, I'm not quite convinced
yet. Someone something about updates giving us stuff for Vista, well I
looked under Add/Remove Programs and I had something called the "Microsoft
Compression "Thingie"" LOL and what do you know!! It was for Vista and I got
rid of it. Now I thought that Microsoft was supposed to not do that to us
being that we are supposed to keep our updates on Automatic all the time for
the "security" of our computers? I put mine from now on (after the big sound
updates that screwed up my computer for two weeks) on prompt and notify but
do not download. Did you know they weren't separating out the automatic
updates? I think that is their job not ours. Any other updates that you
know about should not be in my update area?
Thanks!

Personnally I have updates set to download and notify, and only for critical
updates

Your DNS server IP address is not known? How did you post this, considering
that you are using the Microsoft web site for reading and posting?

No error messages, no examples of your server name entries; sorry, I am not
clairvoyant, so I can't see what you are seeing on your computer screen.
Don't you have anything to show to people?
