Hello, I need help with Outlook 2003, I set reminder (for appointment and such), closed Outlook 2003 and waited unti
the time hits reminder time which reminder should pops up but it didn't, I want to know if I need to have Outlook opene
all the time to be able to utitilise this reminder thing

And is it possible to have Outlook 2003 running in system tray so I dont have this annoying tab in my task bar? that is if I need to have outlook 2003 running ALL THE TIME

And if we need to have outlook 2003 running at all time, whats the point of reminder when what you must do is having i
opened all the time and that means we are going to see it anyway............... right

Thanks all.

Yes you do need to have Outlook running to get the reminder.
You can minimize Outlook to the system tray.
If you didn't have a reminder then you would need to remember when an
appointment or item is due, the reminder service places a visual reminder on
the desktop.

outlook needs to be open for reminders to fire... you can tray outlook -
rightclick on the outlook icon in the tray and choose hide when minimized...
and unless you keep looking at your calendar every few min, you need
reminders, even with outlook open :)
