Hi all,
I am attempting to allow for home users to be able to print to 2 different
printers while working at home. Currently, the default printer (which is an
HP4000) works great, but I am also wanting them to have the ability to print
to a secondary label printer. Ideally, I would like it to be automated, as I
realize I can have the print menu appear for each print.
If they are working in the office, everything works great as I have the
label reports specified to go to the thermal printer (Z2844) - however, when
working from home and remoting in, the local-home thermal printer (if named
"Z2844") will appear in the printer list as "Z2844 (from COMPUTER)" and
therefore not print at home.
Is there anything I can do to have this corrected and have only one DB
version that can be used at both home and office and allow the user to print
to their local thermal printer? Or do I have to create specific DB installs
for each user to specify printer names? Or, is it possible to have the
printer be specified as a variable that can be set when opening the DB to
then be used until close of DB?
Please let me know when possible and thanks again for your help!
