Remove Hidden Data Tool - How do I get rid of the read-only messag

I have used the Remove Hidden Data tool on a Word 2003 document and now I can
not get rid of the "...should be opened as read-only unless changes to it
need to be saved." message when I open the document. I have opened it for
editing, made changes, saved as another file name and I still get this
message. How can I get rid of this message? Or is the document forever
tagged?
