Remove or hide Calendar, Journl,Notes, etc?

Is there some way to hide or remove the Calendar, Notes, Journal, &
Tasks folders?

I don't use them and don't plan to. Can I get the out of my folders
list?

No but if you use outlook 2003 or 2007 you can remove them from the
navigation pane - just don't use the folder list.

Thanks... I need the folder list (lots of detailed folders). So, maybe
I am out of luck on that one.
