Removing Microsfot Office XP Professional w/ FrontPage

I accidentally removed Microsoft Office XP Professional w/ FrontPage. When I
did a System Restore, it didn't restore everything and said I was missing a
patch. I don't have the original software. When I tried to locate the patch
on Microsoft, Microsoft blocked the software because it wasn't a genuine
copy. Now, I can't uninstall the software because it's missing the patch and
it's taking up space on my hard drive. The system isn't allowing me to do
another System Restore to when I originally uninstalled the software. Does
anyone know how I can uninstall it? Thanks!

Thanks. I tried it. It still didn't work. Also, when I tried to remove it
from the Add/Remove in the Control Panel it says that I'm missing the folder
containing PROPLUS.MSI.

That's what you get for using a pirated copy of Microsoft Office.

Thanks. That wasn't helpful at all. My ex-bf got the computer from someone.
I don't know who down the line installed the software; but, if you know how
I can get it off my hard drive, that would be more helpful.

You can do a manual uninstall. You delete all Office files manually
and remove all registry entries.

If you don't feel competent to do this, don't try it!

One other suggestion would be to find a copy of Office XP Pro w/ Front
Page and install it and then uninstall it, that should work.

Your reply is less than helpful. There are others with valid copies of
Project that are having problems uninstalling the program and reinstalling
it. Your smart ass comments sets you up for a jerk not to be listened to.

I suspect that the uninstall I did for Project was incomplete, as when I try
and reinstall it, I am told that the SW is already on the computer. This is
for a single SW package. I saw somewhere a comment to delete the Office10
directory. Are there any other applications that use this that would be
corrupted if this was done?

My reply was helpful and would solve your problem, it was not in any
way smart ass, I'm sorry you're just too damn stupid to understand it.

Lots of luck getting help with that attitude of yours.
