renaming enterprise fields

Jillian

I have created a customized enterprise field and renamed
it in the global template. Why does this renamed field
not transfer over to the projects view with the new name.
It shows the following Enterprise project cost1
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

To get the new field name to appear correclty in PWA, you need to publish at
least one project containing a value in that custom field (Collaborate -
Publish - Project Plan or Collaborate - Publish - All Information). It
would probably be easiest if you sent an e-mail to everyone in your
organization, asking them to open each of their projects and to publish
them, so that any custom Views you create in PWA will be populated with the
latest information in this custom field. Hope this helps.

I have done all that and the enterprise field names do not
seem to replicate on Project Server. I have all my
projects listed in the project center with the new fields
showing, but not with the new name that I have renamed
them. It still says Enterprise Project Cost 1. Is there
something I should be doing on the Server side?

Thanks for your help

Dale's advice is correct as long as your server is healthy. Do you see any
errors coming from Project Server in the Application log on the server? If
so, let us know what they are.
