Enable the recurrence feature, selecting the "Daily" recurrence pattern.

Of course I have tried that. Sometimes it works,but mostly it doesn't?
For some reason the reminder is kicked out after the 1st time I am reminded?

You need to complete the Task and then the next instance will fire according
to is schedule.
