Repeated download of mail.

I use Microsoft Outlook to access my pop3 mailbox on a Unix server.

I am having problem with my mail account.All the previously read messages
download again on the weekend and my outlook inbox

expands to around 3000 unread messages on Monday.I moved /var/mail/amohamme
on vxindia last Monday and today, I still have all last weeks

messages redownloaded to my machine.

I installed the office patches and windows patches.

I run office 2000 on Windows XP professional.

Why not select the option to delete them once they've been downloaded? Then
they won't be there to download again.
