Repeating Table inside another Repeating Table

Hi, I am infopath newbie... trying to add a repeating table inside another
repeating table...

The idea is to have a repeating table with two fields State and Value and in
the second column of the first repeating table I want to insert another
repeating table which has State and Value fields. They are connected to a
database and First table has a link to second table. It doesnt allow me to
insert a row for the second repeating table.. and shows me an message control
cannot store data correctly. When I try to change the binding it doesnt
allow me to change and message comes up saying that this field is bound to a
non repeating field or a group..
Can anyone help me with this please...

Hello

You can have repeating tables in the repeating tables. where are you trying
to change the binding? Are you binding the field in the first repeating table
to the field or group in the second repeating table? if you to want to
connect to the group you can keep this second repeating table in a repeating
section.

Hi Kalyan,
I have a database which has two tables ...
Test Plan
Test Group

Test Plan has two fields -> Test Plan Name and Status
Test Group has three fields -> Test Plan Name , Test Group Name and Status

I want to have Test Group in Test Plan as a Test Plan can have multiple
groups. First repeating table will have two fields for Test Plan and in the
second row of This repeating table I want to insert another repeating table
which will be for Test groups.. I am not able to bind the second repeating
table to second database. It doesn't allow me. Request help in this case.

Thanks, Tam

Hello Tam

I tried your scenario and I could easily connect second table (Test Group)
to the second table in the DB. and this second table (test Group) is in the
First Table(test plan). Try creating the form using the Dataconnection. First
Connect to Table One and then Add Table in the First table and bind this
second table to the Test Group.

Thanks kalyan.. I got it work.. It was the primary key which was giving me a
problem in Access. Changed the primary key of the second table and created.
worked out..
