Reply items not in sent items

I have a subfolder under my inbox and when I click reply
on an email item from there it does not show up in my
sent items folder. This only occurs when I reply from the
folders if I reply from the inbox it is fine. I need to
know if this is by design and is there a workaround so
they show up.

Ben that box is already checked. Didn't fix the problem.
Client is a 2000
