reply to email in personal folder

Replies to email notes field in a personal folder do not
get sent out. INstead, Outlook simply stores the reply in
teh same folder as the original email being replied to.

Replies to emails in the inbox are mailed just fine. What
is the difference and how do I fix it?

Are you sure they're not being sent? There's a setting (in the Tools menu >
Options > Email Options > Advanced dialog) that will put copies of the reply
in the same folder as the original.
