Reports for Task Owners

Natasha

Hi,

I am currently trying to create a report that shows owners, their respective
tasks and start and finish dates. I imagine it should like something like
the resource usage report. Any ideas about how to do this?

Hi Natasha,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

What's wrong with the recourse usage report that it doesn't meet your
requirements? Have you tried the to-do licit under Assignments?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info. I would actually like to modify the to-do list report
to include task owners instead of resources. I have added a column in the
gantt chart titled "Owner" to distinguish to in-house person responsible for
the task and the resources mostly consist of supporting resources. This
column was added as a text field. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

Hi Natasha,

(My spell checker didn't seem to work on the last post - sorry!)

If you select Edit in the To-do list report, you will notice it's based on
the Entry Table. So create a new Table and reference that in the report.
Full details of the procedure can be found in my series on Microsoft Project
in the TechTrax ezine, particularly #24 on Customizing reports, at this
site: http://tinyurl.com/2xbhc or this:

(Perhaps you'd care to rate the article before leaving the site, :)
Thanks.)
