Hi,
I know when you set up a report you are suppose to use the printer that
it will be printing on, What if you don't know which printer will be
used? Is there a Generic Printer that you can set-up that will handle
any Laser or Inkject Printer? Thanks.

Actually the opposite would be recommended. Except for special
circumstances you normally set the report to use the "Default Printer" so
it will work on any workstation that has a default printer set up. If you
set it up for a specific printer then every user will have to have a
printer with that exact name on their PC or they will get an error message.

Now, if what you're asking is how to make sure the report will print
properly on any printer, all you can do is stick to generous margins as
that is where you are most likely to have problems. I have yet to
encounter a printer that couldn't handle 7/10 inch margins, but anything
smaller than that (particularly on the bottom margin) and you might
encounter a printer where the report won't fit on the page.
