I am using Windows 2000 and Office 2000 products. Some
staff members are not. I think i have set my tracking
options so that I get messages when emails are opened but
it is not working on all machines. Can anyone tell me all
the settings required for Outlook and if there is a
problem if other computers are not using the same
verion/program etc as my Office 2000.
Thanks

The "read" notification is an option for the receiver. When you send a mail
and ask for a read notification the receiver is prompted if he wants to send
a notification or not. If the receiver answers "No" you won't receive a
notification. Also the receiver can answer "No" and check "Never ask again"
and he won't even be prompted. The difference in versions is not an issue
here. You can find the settings for this under Tools-> Options-> tab
General-> button E-mail Options-> button Tracking Options... (the naming
could be a bit off as I'm on a Dutch Ofice at the moment).

I hope this information was helpful to you!
