Resize/crop pictures in email body?

Hi ... I'm switching from Outlook on a PC to Entourage on a Mac, and I'm trying to love it, but ...

In Outlook, I used to paste screen shots in the email body all the time, click on them, drag the corners to resize, and even use a crop button (which I added to my customized toolbar).

In Entourage, I can't even click on the image to resize. Is there some feature I need to turn on to do this?

If not, is there a plug in?

And if not, should I be worried about Entourage being too basic?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

this feature is not part of Entourage's feature set, but then again, it's
not really an obvious feature for an email application to have. Apple Mail
allows you to resize images, though you can't crop them. If you still want
to use Entourage, you'll have to process it prior to inserting the image
into an email message. You could use Preview, for instance, to process the
image, then copy it again so you can paste it into Entourage.

Or edit it in iPhoto and use the Mail link at the bottom of the window
(after making sure you have selected Entourage as your email program).

Thanks for the replies. This is just a bummer because I always sent screenshots fast and easy in Outlook to my graphic designers. I could paste, trim, etc. 10 screenshots in seconds, so the editing in Preview would take longer.

I'll figure it out.

Thanks,
Steve

That's a great suggestion, Michel. I've thought of getting one of those programs for a while. I'll try that. Thanks!

I use Little Snapper for that.

I got Voila as part of an app bundle, and I believe it is very similar in
functionality (even though I have to admit that Little Snapper's interface
is much nicer). It is a very useful program to have, and I can only
recommend it.
