Q

I am resizing a picture in p/point. however after saving the presentation the
size changes when re-opened? To a smaller picture. This makes no sense to me.
Does anyone know why?

Resize it again. This time, go to Tools > Options.
Click the Save tab. Then, uncheck Allow Fast saves which often corrupt
presentation.

Now, save the ppt again and see if it works.

I would check your auto-correct functions. If the picture is in a
placeholder and the placeholder autocorrect functions are active, PowerPoint
will resize the image to 'fit' the space, regardless of how you want it.

I suggest turning off the autofit options.
Tools => Autocorrect options => Autoformat as you type => then uncheck the
bottom 3 or 4 options.
