Resource allocation % minus admin time

I'm trying to calculate the allocation of my resources based on the
amount of work per hours in a month minus any admin time they might be
using.

I have a formula in mind:

(Work / 200) - Admin time

I think this will get me the number I want. However, I don't know how
to pull in the admin time. Currently, we use an admin project to track
vacation and sick time. I'm not sure how to reference this specific
project in my calculation to subtract the time.

Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Month is too variable. It's simpler and more accurate to work on weeks. So,
if on average a resource does 10h/w admin time and 10h/w supporting a
product or service, then on average they will have 20h/w (max units 50%) to
spend on all projects.

Right, I understand that. However, I don't want to estimate or guess
what the allocation is. I want to calculate it using the data
available in Project.

The period of time really isn't that important. What I'm having
difficulty figuring out is how to display the total amount of work for
a person minus the time they indicate in the system towards the Admin
project.

I need to pull that time info directly out of the admin project. I'm
not sure how I would do that.

Thanks!!
