Resource Assignment

I'm new to Project. I recently setup the Project Enterprise for a
manufacturing company I work for. The resources we need to track are
machines that require operators. I would like the operator to login web
access and log time on machine resources that have assigned tasks. For
instance if I have 5 machines and two operators, I need those two
operator to log hours for each individual machine with assignments. I
created user accounts in web access and then I added 5 machine resources in
enterprise global. I need to have operators login so I can tell if they
didn't put time in for a day they worked. If someone can point me in the
right direction I will be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance!

Your best bet is to define your users as normal, using Windows accounts, and
define your machine resources using Project Server accounts. Set them up
with or without passwords so that your operators can logon as the machine
and report the hours.

Is there a way to know who logged the time on the resource. I need to know if
someone forgot to log time. Thanks for the help Gary.

The only practical solution for that is to have your users add a note to the
assignment when updating the time sheet.
