Resource Calculations

Robert

Is there an easy way to get the total amount of work hours for all resources
for a given time period? For example, I would like to find out how many hours
we have projected for the year 2006. Resource usage shows the total amount in
the ERP regardless of what filter I apply.

Also, Is there a way to export the right hand side of the Resource usage
view to Excel?

Hi Robert,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You could use the Analyse Timescale Data in Excel macro included on the
Analysis toolbar. Or you might like to see FAQ Item: 10. Exporting to
Excel. FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be
seen at this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hello Robert,
<< way to export the right hand side of the Resource usage >>
Display the "Analysis" tool bar and click the "Analyse timescale data in
....Excel" button.

Hope this helps,

Sorry, I should have been a little clearer with my 2nd question. I have
opened multiple projects from Enterprise to get a master view. When I click
on the analyze button project tells me 'There are no resources in the current
project. Try again after the project has one or more resources. Any other
ways?
