Hi,
I am in the process of setting up a master resource pool
for all projects to use and come up with an issue with the
plan.
Here are the details:
I have one huge existing project plan where the resources
and calendar are based of 9 hour working days (through the
standard working calendar)
When I try the large existing project link that up with my
master resource plan, it changes the dates on the plan
since my work days are based on different hours. For one,
I don't want to base all my other projects off of ten hour
days so I don't want to have the same work schedule in
other plans. Therefore, the conflict precedence box does
me no good since either way I choose it, it overrides the
other one and sets it to the whatever one is checked.
(just as it should).
What's my best way around this? Should I just not link the
big plan with my resource pool? Or do you think I should
do this at the resource level rather than the calendar?
As I type, I think setting it at the resource level is the
best bet.....Can anyone assist me and tell me if this is
the right direction?
Thanks.
