Ressources like a tractor

Projec 2007
When i have a man working with a machine, if i put them assignet a 100%, the
work is reduced to a half. If i put the machine assigned a 0%, the machine
is not allocated, and i can use it in all tasks at the same time. The machine
is never over allocated

In the resource sheet, change the resource type for the tractor to Material.
You are then able to prorate its costs (beginning, end, linearly)

Hello Jim,

I would not use the Material type for the resource Tractor (Material is
appropriate to consumables, like concrete, bricks...)
MS Project don't manage overallocation on material resources, while Carlos
neeeds to manage the overallocation of his tractor.
Juste change the Task Type of the task while assigning the tractor : Fixed
units instead of Fixed Work, and remove the Effort Driven check box in the
Task Information dialog.
Hope this helps,
