Restore normal cursor

Using Office 2003 and Windows XP;

My cursor suddenly changed to a pipe that is only about a fifth the height
of the normal pipe. This is very annoying and it seems to have done this on
its own.

How can I restore the default cursor in MS-Word?

CLARIFICATION:

Not the mouse cursor, but the blinking insertion point in the
document...sorry for the confusion...how can I restore this?
