restoring emails

My system went down (blue screen) and I had to add a
second installation of windows XP in a second location
just so that I could copy all files prior to reformating
the drive for a proper repair. I reinstalled Office XP
hoping that it would just know where the emails that used
to be there were. It didn't. How can I find all of the
emails and export them so that I can later import them
into the new reformatted system?
