Retaining Outlook Settings and Junk Mail List on Upgrade to Office 2003

D

Dave G.

I am planning to upgrade from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003, but don't
want to lose my junk mail list, and contacts. How can I ensure that
these setting transfer over, or back them up to an archive to be safe?
Thanks.

You can back up your .pst file (it has all of your Outlook items) but the
Junk filter will be useless in Outlook 2003 as there is a new engine for
filtering junk/spam/porn. It works extremely well as it captures about
99.9% of my junk/spam/porn. You can train it and use white lists for your
contacts. Really a much improved version of Outlook - I think you will like
it.
