Retrieving lost information?

So I've accidently pressed a close button on my presentation in which a slide
and a half of writing has not yet been saved. How can I get back this work?
Sorry for the urgency, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am only a newbie and have already done this several times. I found that if
I went to the Office Button and looked at the Drop Down >Recent
Documents>Item 1. Maybe the one that you think you have lost. Now I "save"
after every few moves just in case. Hope this helps. This is using PPT 2007.
I think the same may also apply with A File Drop Down other than " 2007.

Try Maureen's suggestion. Also look in your Temp folder. If there's a file
in there from around the time you were working on the slide, you can open
PPT, use File | Open, navigate to the Temp folder, and try to open that
file. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Usually if you haven't actually saved a
file, there's nothing to retrieve.
