HAL

I am using MS Outlook 2003

I use several email accounts with Outlook.

When outlook sends a return receipt to the sender, I have noticed that
it does not send it from the email address that the message was sent to,
it selects a different email account. What Gives ??

Is the receipt being sent from your default account?

No, it is not sending a response from the default account.
I can't seem to find a common return receipt out-bound address that
outlook uses.

In the beginning when I started using Outlook, I set up a "NULL" default
account that does not do anything
so that in case I forget to select an account, it does not go out under the
wrong
address, and it gives me time to select the correct address.

Thanks,
Hal

Is this Outlook installation patched to at least SP-1? If yes, turn on
diagnostic logging and post the .opm log for use to have a look at (even
better, post it to the Outlook group where you multi-posted.)

KB article 300479 will step you through the process to turn on diagnostic
logging.
