Return to an earlier version of Outlook

I downloaded a trial version of Outlook 2007 and installed it. The new
version replaced my Outlook 2003.

I like the old version better.

How do I go back to Outlook 2003?

I tried:

1. backing up my Outlook files
2. uninstalling Outlook 2007
3. reinstalling Outlook 2003

When I try to reinstall Outlook 2003 from my Office 2003 disk, the "Office"
element on the install menu is checked with a red X and is marked
"unavailable"

I found the solution in a posting titled something like "no option for
outlook". It was posted in 2006. I was having the same problem as the
person posting -- a red X beside Outlook. When I installed from the control
panel rather than the CD "setup.exe" file, I was successful.

The phrase that solved it for me was...
Ahhh, I found the Run from Computer option and that did the trick.
Thanks so
much. Wonder why it was X'd out in the first place??

Thanks again for offering your help.
